THIS IS TRULY THOUGHT PROVOKING. TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT AND SEND IT ON

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the Prof noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.. He had been shot while fighting Communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax cuts, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc....... while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably delete this email. But God help you when the gate slams shut!

The only thing I can add to this is a question for you..Which candidates out there are most anxious to spread around the feed corn, and what might their motives be? Think about it.

Why I Am Leaving the Democratic Party - By CINDY SHEEHAN

May 28, 2007

An Open Letter to the Democratic Congress

Why I Am Leaving the Democratic Party

By CINDY SHEEHAN

Dublin, Ireland

Dear Democratic Congress,

Hello, my name is Cindy Sheehan and my son Casey Sheehan was killed on April 04, 2004 in Sadr City , Baghdad , Iraq . He was killed when the Republicans still were in control of Congress. Naively, I set off on my tireless campaign calling on Congress to rescind George's authority to wage his war of terror while asking him "for what noble cause" did Casey and thousands of other have to die. Now, with Democrats in control of Congress, I have lost my optimistic naiveté and have become cynically pessimistic as I see you all caving into "Mr. 28%"

There is absolutely no sane or defensible reason for you to hand Bloody King George more money to condemn more of our brave, tired, and damaged soldiers and the people of Iraq to more death and carnage. You think giving him more money is politically expedient, but it is a moral abomination and every second the occupation of Iraq endures, you all have more blood on your hands.

Ms. Pelosi, Speaker of the House, said after George signed the new weak as a newborn baby funding authorization bill: "Now, I think the president's policy will begin to unravel." Begin to unravel? How many more of our children will have to be killed and how much more of Iraq will have to be demolished before you all think enough unraveling has occurred? How many more crimes will BushCo be allowed to commit while their poll numbers are crumbling before you all gain the political "courage" to hold them accountable. If Iraq hasn't unraveled in Ms. Pelosi's mind, what will it take? With almost 700,000 Iraqis dead and four million refugees (which the US refuses to admit) how could it get worse? Well, it is getting worse and it can get much worse thanks to your complicity.

Being cynically pessimistic, it seems to me that this new vote to extend the war until the end of September, (and let's face it, on October 1st, you will give him more money after some more theatrics, which you think are fooling the anti-war faction of your party) will feed right into the presidential primary season and you believe that if you just hang on until then, the Democrats will be able to re-take the White House. Didn't you see how "well" that worked for John Kerry in 2004 when he played the politics of careful fence sitting and pandering? The American electorate are getting disgusted with weaklings who blow where the wind takes them while frittering away our precious lifeblood and borrowing money from our new owners, the Chinese.

I knew having a Democratic Congress would make no difference in grassroots action. That's why we went to DC when you all were sworn in to tell you that we wanted the troops back from Iraq and BushCo held accountable while you pushed for ethics reform which is quite a hoot...don't' you think? We all know that it is affordable for you all to play this game of political mayhem because you have no children in harm's way...let me tell you what it is like:

You watch your reluctant soldier march off to a war that neither you nor he agrees with. Once your soldier leaves the country all you can do is worry. You lie awake at night staring at the moon wondering if today will be the day that you get that dreaded knock on your door. You can't concentrate, you can't eat, and your entire life becomes consumed with apprehension while you are waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Then, when your worst fears are realized, you begin a life of constant pain, regret, and longing. Everyday is hard, but then you come up on "special" days...like upcoming Memorial Day. Memorial Day holds double pain for me because, not only are we supposed to honor our fallen troops, but Casey was born on Memorial Day in 1979. It used to be a day of celebration for us and now it is a day of despair. Our needlessly killed soldiers of this war and the past conflict in Vietnam have all left an unnecessary trail of sorrow and deep holes of absence that will never be filled.

So, Democratic Congress, with the current daily death toll of 3.72 troops per day, you have condemned 473 more to these early graves. 473 more lives wasted for your political greed: Thousands of broken hearts because of your cowardice and avarice. How can you even go to sleep at night or look at yourselves in a mirror? How do you put behind you the screaming mothers on both sides of the conflict? How does the agony you have created escape you? It will never escape me...I can't run far enough or hide well enough to get away from it.

By the end of September, we will be about 80 troops short of another bloody milestone: 4000, and MoveOn.org will hold nationwide candlelight vigils and you all will be busy passing legislation that will snuff the lights out of thousands more human beings.

Congratulations Congress, you have bought yourself a few more months of an illegal and immoral bloodbath. And you know you mean to continue it indefinitely so "other presidents" can solve the horrid problem BushCo forced our world into.

It used to be George Bush's war. You could have ended it honorably. Now it is yours and you all will descend into calumnious history with BushCo.

The Camp Casey Peace Institute is calling all citizens who are as disgusted as we are with you all to join us in Philadelphia on July 4th to try and figure a way out of this "two" party system that is bought and paid for by the war machine which has a stranglehold on every aspect of our lives. As for myself, I am leaving the Democratic Party. You have completely failed those who put you in power to change the direction our country is heading. We did not elect you to help sink our ship of state but to guide it to safe harbor.

We do not condone our government's violent meddling in sovereign countries and we condemn the continued murderous occupation of Iraq .

We gave you a chance, you betrayed us.

Sincerely,
Cindy Sheehan
Founder and President of
Gold Star Families for Peace.

Founder and Director of
The Camp Casey Peace Institute

Eternally grieving mother of Casey Sheehan

Thank You vlastic !

I saw this post on a Ron Paul youtube clip by a viewer named vlastic -I thought was pretty entertaining and wanted to share it with you:

1. Ron Paul doesn't go the gym. He stays fit by exercising his civil rights.
2. Ron Paul delivers babies without his hands. He simply reads them the Bill of Rights and they crawl out in anticipation of freedom.
3. Ron Paul doesn't cut taxes. He kills them with his bare hands.
4. Jesus wears a wristband that says "What Would Ron Paul Do?"
5. Ron Paul makes the U.S. dollar want to be a better currency.

Was Orwell right? Is "Big Brother" taking over? Is it possible for the American government to be taken over by corrupt corporations? I answer with a resounding NO! Why do I answer that way? Simple; because the American government isn't in any danger of being taken over by the corporate elite, it already has been.

The truth is simple to see: the American government is no longer "of the people, by the people, for the people" as the Constitution demands, but is controlled by a few large corporations. Yet the American people don't understand this. And why should they? After all, those entrusted with keeping the American public abreast of what the government is doing in their name are owned by the corporations.

The Mainstream Media, which the vast majority of the American public counts on for their news, is owned by just a few multinational corporations. ABC is owned by Disney, NBC is part of GE, CBS is in the Viacom family, and Fox is in the hands of Rupert Murdock's News Corp. Along with AOL/Time Warner, the Tribune Company, Hearst Corporation, Comcast, and Clear Channel, these few companies control 95% of the nation's news. Is it really so difficult to believe that they would slant the news to be in their best interests? It is no secret that the largest corporate lobbying group is for the Mass Media. So it is very simple to understand that when the gatekeepers of a society, who are entrusted with informing the public of what the government is doing, are bought and paid for by the corporations, then the corporations can tell you who to vote for, what to care about, and what to believe.

With the upcoming Presidential elections this is becoming very obvious to those of us who can see what is right in front of us. Let's first look at the "top tier" candidates: Hillary Clinton, the much maligned former first lady and New York State Senator has been given the stamp of approval (as well as a boat-load of cash) by several major defense contractors, News Corp. Disney, and a multitude of off-shore conglomerates. Barack Obama has garnered contributions from Comcast, Wal-Mart, and several other large corporations. Rudy Giuliani has taken money from defense contractors, insurance conglomerates and, through American lawyers of course, the Saudi Oil Ministry. Mitt Romney is, by and large, financing his own campaign, loaning vast sums of money from his own personal fortune to his coffers. Then there is Dr. Ron Paul, the Texas Congressman who has raised the third most money among the Republican field, though he has no corporate sponsors. All of the money Dr. Paul's campaign has raised is from individual citizens, yet the Mainstream Media has virtually ignored him since the beginning, only mentioning his name in order to jeer him, or distort his record.

What does this mean? Well, from the standpoint of an informed onlooker I have my own opinions, but I was curious, so I decided to investigate just who this Ron Paul is. What I found was really surprising. Dr. Paul is a ten term Congressman from Texas who has never voted to raise taxes, never voted for a congressional pay raise, never voted for to increase spending, never taken a paid congressional junket, never taken money from lobbyists, voted against the War, the Patriot Act, and the Military Commissions Act. This has earned him the Congressional nickname of Dr. No. He believes in restoring the Constitution, strong money, small government, and low taxes. Strangely enough, Congressman Paul believes that the wages of the American people should go into their own pockets instead of to the government, and is of the opinion that the amount of government waste can be dealt with by eliminating agencies that the nation can do without, allowing the people to live as the Founding Fathers had intended. And he is the only candidate who has vowed to bring all of our troops home immediately, instead of leaving them in the desert to die for corporate America's oil war.

Well, that's just wrong! Corporate America can't have government working in the best interests of the people! That's just crazy! If the people had low taxes and sound money they would be able to get out of debt. If that were to happen then the economy might just turn around and allow for more competition in the marketplace, taking money out of the pockets of corporate America. The power of corporate lobbyists would plunge into the gutter, forcing the mega-conglomerates to actually follow the law (imagine that). We can't let that happen, otherwise the people of America might finally understand that the Democracy they thought they lived in had been replaced by the Corporate Oligarchy the elite enjoy today. No. We can't let that happen.

Vote Count Rigging and How the Government ignores Public Concern

Today I was having a discussion about politics, etc. The subject of voter fraud and Diebold machines came up. It made me think that there are many out there that perhaps don't understand the reasons behind other people's apprehension to using voting machines, or the whole voting process in general.

I know many of you have probably already seen this documentary but I thought I would pass it along once again. So here's the link to the video, every American should see this; no conspiracies or conjecture, just fact finding.

Ambient Music

This is an example of some of the work a great friend of mine creates by the name of Diatonis. Ambient music can be a great way to clear the mind and gives us a chance to step back to put the pieces of life's puzzel together. Check it out. He has tons of CDs and DVD works

This is a rough-cut of a short film by Jonathan & Tyler. Feel free to give critical feedback of any sort - they would be most pleased as they are still working on the final edits and have no idea how an audience relates to what is being communicated so far. An amazing thing happened durring the filming of this student production that i may share when i get some more time. Life really is a miracle, and sometimes the universe actually wants you to know....

Electronic Voting Machines Whistle Blower

One of the Most Important Issues of our Time
No matter how corrupt the Government, no matter how horrible its crimes, what threat does any concern by its people pose,
if their vote has no count within the process that elects? We may be headed for a time when an honest man can no longer be elected by its people. When our "choice" is only a show for what is predecided by those in the position to control the outcome of an election. When we see hidden agendas exposed, which seem to no longer be vulneable or altered by any parties from either side, it is time to realize that the public is being fed a lie. When a vote for change no longer brings change, it is time to see that we are being played with. What happens when we start to realize that the new face that comes through the revolving election door has been sent to us by the same people that brought us the one we just booted out of office? When only the promise speeches and color of the ties change, and not the actions and agendas?

Maybe it is time that our vote be counted out in the open for all to see. No secret ballots. No counting from behind a curtain. Maybe we can figure out a way that we can all raise our hands in plain sight for anyone in the room to count and verify.
